Workshop: Exploratory Data Analysis in R
Workshop Overview:听Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is used to perform initial analysis of your data in order to 'get a feel' for the variables involved and whether your data entails certain patterns.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
听听听听 > use different visualization tools to analyze distributions and correlations
听听听听 > know and apply different ways to treat missing data
听听听听 > apply classification and standardization methods
Prerequisites:
听听听听听 路 Introductory knowledge of R, e.g. from 不良研究所's听R summer camp,听or from our听Introduction to programming with R听workshop.
听听听听听 路 You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Install R and RStudio on your computer. You can find installation instructions听here. Please contact us (cdsi.science at mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation.
