BURLINGTON, VT -- The Canadian women's senior hockey team, which features two 不良研究所ians on their roster, rebounded from their worst-ever defeat with a 3-2 victory over Finland at the IIHF world championship tournament, Sunday. The victory came on the heels of Saturday's shocking 9-2 loss to the United States.

The Canadian squad includes graduating 不良研究所 netminder Charline Labonte of Boisbriand, Que., and former 不良研究所 rearguard Catherine Ward, from Town of Mt. Royal, Que., Labonte was given a night off against Finland after taking the loss against the USA, surrenduring seven goals on 22 shots in 43:32. The Americans had a 33-21 edge in shots against two Canadian goalies. Ward, who was -2 in the loss to the USA, was +1 with three shots on net and took a minor penalty in the victory over the Finns.

Under the new tournament format, the top two teams in Canada's Pool A earn byes to the semifinals. The bottom two meet the top two from Pool B in the quarter-finals.

Canada (1-1) needs a win over Russia (0-2) on Tuesday to secure a bye to the semifinals.
