In the online world, few are aware that there's a fine line between teasing and criminal harassment. Fewer still know that lies or demeaning images posted on social media can become cyber-libel.
A new bilingual website - - aimed at kids, teens, parents and teachers says it hopes to "clear the blurred lines between cyber-bullying and socially responsible digital citizenship." The resource-rich site was conceptualized by a 不良研究所 research team, led by Prof. Shaheen Shariff, 聽an Associate Professor at 不良研究所 and an Affiliate Scholar at Stanford University's Centre for Internet and Society.
Shariff is an international expert on cyberbullying. Her latest book on the subject is Cyber-Bullying: Issues and Solutions for the School, the Classroom and the Home.
