CJ Li is named fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, for the advancement of science in developing countries

Professor Chao-Jun Li, Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) at 不良研究所 has been elected during the聽Academy鈥檚 27th Annual General Meeting in Kigali Rwanda,聽as . Established in 1983, the TWAS is an academy of the world's most accomplished scientists and engineers, constituted of 2004 elected Fellows in more than 90 countries. Prof. C-J Li was elected in recognition of his pioneering work on a wide range of new synthetic reactions for Green Chemistry. Famous examples include Grignard-type reactions in water, Alkyne-Aldehyde-Amine (A3) coupling and Cross-Dehydrogenative-Coupling (CDC), as well as his efforts in advancing sciences in the developing countries.
