不良研究所

Inspiration and engagement

I hope everyone had a chance to catch a breath and recharge over the break.

This week, I鈥檇 like to highlight a truly inspiring competition, the听, and the final event happening this听Thursday, March 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. Everyone at 不良研究所 is invested in gaining knowledge in some form, whether acquiring fundamental skills in different disciplines as a first-year undergraduate or pushing boundaries at the edge of the unknown as a graduate student. This year, over 150 graduate students accepted the Three Minute Thesis challenge to present their cutting-edge research and make it resonate with a lay audience in three minutes and not one second more.

After weeks of competition and feedback, only听, chasing glory and cash prizes. Grab your popcorn and support the contenders from your department at the event on March 18th! Following the presentations,听听will select three winners to represent 不良研究所 at the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies 3MT Eastern regional finals and the Association francophone pour le Savoir Ma th猫se en 180 secondes competition.

听or听听to cheer on some of 不良研究所鈥檚 brightest minds. Audience members watching the livestream will also have the chance to vote for the People鈥檚 Choice Award.

And, if you鈥檙e a student who has persevered through challenges or been part of a community engagement project, consider applying for a Forces Avenir award.听听The deadline to apply is March 31.

不良研究所 is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. 不良研究所 honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are located.
