Dark times can be made brighter by focusing on听the light鈥擨 encourage you to acknowledge听this light听when you see it, and to do whatever you can to nurture it听and bring it to others.听For some hope and brightness听during this crisis, we don鈥檛 have to look further than our听student听community:听take, for example,听,听who听have听raised听money to provide听essential听health-care workers with hot meals听and have supported听local restaurants听in the process.听Another 不良研究所 student听back home in听Sudbury, Ontario听has 听to help听pick up and deliver groceries to those in need.听听is helping听clinicians at the MUHC听adapt to delivering health care听remotely.听And I know there are countless more acts of kindness from 不良研究所 students听across the world helping to make things a little better.听It's incredible to see how situations like this one can uncover new threads of connection, even as we remain apart.听
As we work to help each other, it鈥檚 important to also take听time for听ourselves. Find some stillness in hectic days with听a daily听; if you are able,听get out for a walk听to take in some fresh air听and sunshine; for a little bit of brightness in your social feed,听have a look at听.听Keep听holding on, and above all, remember to听lead with kindness:听towards听your听neighbours,听towards听your peers, and听towards听yourself.
