Curating With Care: Exhibiting and Programming Sensitive Subject Matter in Galleries and Museums
iMPACTS, , , and are hosting a professional development workshop, titled "Curating With Care",听for curators, exhibition managers, programmers, academics, and other cultural professionals to learn and share best practices for exhibiting and programming artistic works with sensitive subject matter and themes.
Participants will obtain a greater understanding of curating sensitive materials to a broad public; develop and discuss the best practices for developing programming centered around artwork that covers sensitive and triggering topics; develop guidelines from workshop discussion to inform future policies for art gallery and museums; and gain insight on the ethics of sensitive subject matter in institutions鈥 collections.听
