Public Lecture: Let鈥檚 talk about dementia

Tuesday, January 30, 2024 莯 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

This free lecture, offered by the 不良研究所 Dementia Education Program in partnership with Nova Home Care, is open to all. It will take place online in English.

This public lecture aims to raise awareness and provide basic information about Alzheimer鈥檚 disease and other neurocognitive disorders.

During this presentation, Dr. Serge Gauthier, a clinical neurologist, will provide information on the different types of neurocognitive disorders. He will discuss the associated behavioural and psychological symptoms that manifest as the disease progresses, and explain how these may differ from typical aging concerns.

Next, Mrs. Claire Webster, former caregiver and Certified Dementia Care Consultant, will share practical advice on how to care for a person living with dementia. She will discuss important considerations to ensure the safety and well-being of both the individual as well as the care partner to help families understand and access the resources needed to navigate this disease.

A question-and-answer period will follow.
