Speaker: Joanna Lamberts

Dr. Joanna Lamberts, DMD’12, owner at Dr.Joanna Lamberts DentistryÌýis a family dentist practicing in her hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Dr. Lamberts has a passion for making dental care more accessible to those in her community in need. She takes a special interest inÌýworking with children, patients with disabilities, patients who are medically compromised, as well as individuals with highÌýanxiety.

Dr. Lamberts is a member of the Sault Advanced Dental Study Club, the ODA, the CDA, STRIVE young professional group and the former vice-president of the Sault Ste Marie and Distract Dental Society. She has been a mentor in the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Norman Miller Student Advisory Program and a curent Soo Greyhounds OHL hockey club on-call dentist.Ìý

While she was at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, Dr. Lamberts receivedÌýThe Dr. James McCutcheon Medal (2012), The Academy of General Dentistry AwardÌý(2012) and the Dr. Leanore K. Fine Award (2011, 2012) for her outstanding performance,Ìýcommitment, and leadership.ÌýÌý

Speaker: Anthony Mair

Dr. Anthony Mair, DDS’87, partner at STO Orthodontics, obtained his DDS from ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù and his orthodontic degree from Western University. He owns his own orthodontic practice in Scarborough, STO Orthodontists, where he works with fellow alum, orthodontist Sharon Nguyen, DMD ‘01.

Dr. Mair is a member of the Canadian, Ontario and American Associations of Orthodontists, as well as the Canadian and Ontario Dental Associations. ÌýHe was the past President of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists. He is an Adjunct Professor of Orthodontics at both Western University and the University of Toronto. He also lectures to orthodontic groups across North America.

Speaker: Leo Gerczuk

Dr. Leo Gerczuk, DDS’73, associate and former partner at Periodontal Associates, completed a residency at the Jewish General Hospital following his graduation from ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, and the Periodontal Program at Boston University. ÌýDr. Gerczuk then came to Toronto and entered into practice with Periodontal Associates. He has lectured at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry, and was on staff in the Periodontal Section at Mount Sinai Hospital and at Trillium Health Centre. He provides hypnosis therapy for patients to help alleviate dental anxiety and phobias.

Dr. Gerczuk is a past director and member of the PA Study Club and is also a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Ontario Society of Periodontists, the Canadian Academy of Periodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
