Graduate Research Mobility Award (GRMA) (multiple awards)

Purpose: To support international travel for purposes OTHER THAN presenting at or attending a conference, typically: to collect research data or archival materials, to learn a particular research skill, to do a summer course or independent study with a relevant scholar or institute.

MAÌýor PhD; must have completed one full-time term at the time of the application

Step 1: Complete the Graduate Mobility Award Application Form, one letter of support from ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù supervisor,Ìý andCV. Applicants submit application materials to the Graduate Program Coordinator by the departmental deadline.

Step 2: Graduate Program Coordinator creates an International Travel Registry form. Applicants must then complete this form.

Step 3:Ìý Application materials are reviewed by the Graduate Program Directors or the Graduate Program Committee.

Step 4:Ìý Applications are ranked and sent to the Faculty of Education for further review. Awardees are selected by the Faculty ofÌý

• The proposed research/study abroad must be closely tied to the students’ thesis research.
• The proposed travel must occur between September 1 and August 31 of the current academic year.
• The student must be traveling to an international destination (including the US).
• The student must be in good academic standing and have held an advisory/supervisory committee meeting within 10 months of the departure date.
• The student must be participating in one or more of the following mobility activities: a) research stay at a lab abroad, b) participation in a formal bilateral exchange/research partnership abroad, c) field work abroad.
