Susanne Lajoie at the National Assembly as New Member of l'Ordre de l'excellence en 茅ducation

Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, and Minister of Higher Education, Pascale D茅ry, inducted the 25 new members of the Ordre de l'excellence en 茅ducation at an official ceremony at the National Assembly on May 29th recognizing these new inductees for their contribution to education.

不良研究所 Faculty of Education is pleased to congratulate Professor Susanne Lajoie who was inducted as a Senior Fellow of The Order. A Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Canada Research Chair in Advanced Technologies for Learning in Authentic Settings, Lajoie works at the intersection of psychology, education, and computer science, designing technology-rich learning environments that encourage deep and sustained learning. She has contributed to the development of more than 20 technological innovations to enhance learning and teaching across all age groups and institutional contexts, both nationally and internationally.

"We are fortunate in Quebec to be able to count on such inspiring education professionals. It is partly thanks to them that we can see our young people blossom and become important players in society. I thank them for their commitment and dedication,鈥 said Pascale D茅ry, Minister of Higher Education, of the new members. Since its inception in 2018, The Order now has 130 members.

Mme Susanne Lajoie a marqu茅 l鈥檃vancement des connaissances mondiales en mati猫re d鈥檌ntelligence artificielle, d鈥櫭ヾucation et de sciences cognitives. Son but : concevoir des environnements technologiques qui encouragent un apprentissage collaboratif, profond et soutenu. Au cours de sa carri猫re, cette chercheuse avant-gardiste a contribu茅 脿 plus de 20 innovations technologiques qui ont am茅lior茅 les pratiques 茅ducatives aupr猫s de tous les groupes d鈥櫭e et dans tous les contextes institutionnels, ici comme ailleurs. Ses projets Sherlock, SAFARI, Telelearning, DIVA et Bioworld sont 茅difiants! Psychologie, 茅ducation, m茅decine et sciences de l鈥檌nformation : elle a con莽u des techniques de simulation de raisonnement et de r茅solution de probl猫mes scientifiques multidisciplinaires pour le moins riches. 脌 la t锚te du projet Apprendre 脿 travers les disciplines, elle a collabor茅 avec des 茅quipes de recherche internationales venant de 6 pays, 17 universit茅s et 16 organisations partenaires. Sa contribution et sa r茅putation d鈥檈xcellence ont 茅t茅 honor茅es, entre autres, par la Soci茅t茅 royale du Canada, l鈥橝merican Psychological Association, l鈥橝merican Educational Research Association et l鈥橝cfas. Des salles de classe du primaire 脿 l鈥檜niversit茅, dans les 茅tablissements publics comme en entreprise, les r茅alisations de Mme Lajoie sont toujours synonymes de progr猫s!
