Genevi猫ve Cadieux
Dr Cadieux is a public health physician at the Direction r茅gionale de sant茅 publique de Montr茅al working in the area of infectious disease control and prevention, and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the 不良研究所 Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health. She previously worked as an Associate Medical Officer of Health at Ottawa Public Health from 2017-2019, also in the area of communicable disease control and prevention. She completed her residency training in Public Health and Preventive Medicine (2017) and Family Medicine (2015) at the University of Toronto. She completed her MD (2013) at 不良研究所. She also completed a PhD (2011) and MSc (2004) in epidemiology at 不良研究所, with her research focusing on infectious disease outbreak detection and surveillance, and overprescribing of antimicrobials.
Dr Cadieux conducts applied public health research in the areas of infectious disease surveillance, prevention, and control. Her previous work has focused on describing the occurrence of infection prevention and control (IPAC) lapses in community settings, assessing the current IPAC practices and learning needs of healthcare providers in community settings, screening for chronic hepatitis C, risk factors for varicella susceptibility among newcomers to Canada, syndromic surveillance for respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, and predictors of inappropriate antibiotic prescribing for upper respiratory tract infections.
