Office Temperature Standards
- All general office areas and classrooms are聽maintained at 23掳 Celsius 卤 2 degrees during both the winter heating season and the summer cooling season during occupied hours (7h to 18h, Monday through Friday).*
- All general office areas and classrooms are聽maintained at 17掳 Celsius 卤 4 degrees during the winter heating season during unoccupied hours (18h to 7h, Monday through Friday), and all day Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.*
- All general office areas and classrooms are聽maintained at 27掳 Celsius 卤 4 degrees during the summer cooling season during unoccupied hours (18h to 7h, Monday through Friday) and all day Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.*
- Relative humidity is kept above 20% in winter when the outside temperature is -20掳 Celsius or colder.
These standards were developed through consultation with Building Directors, Building Operations, and Utilities and Energy Management. Together we assessed building occupancy hours, identified opportunities for energy savings, and established an appropriate ventilation schedule (office temperatures) for each building.

- Temperature and relative humidity ranges vary based on the occupancy status of the buildings (occupied/unoccupied).
- Unless otherwise specified, the Sunday ventilation schedule is applicable for holidays and summer Fridays.
