Current research:
I am interested in the impacts of the implementation of natural climate solution projects on resource-dependent communities. More specifically, my research investigates the long-term livelihood and land-use impacts of a community-based reforestation project in an Indigenous community in Panama. Using a land-use policy spillover lens, I also evaluate the tradeoffs between livelihood improvements and carbon sequestration with the intention of providing policy recommendations to current reforestation project stakeholders.
