This January, we're shining a light on Alzheimer's Awareness Month鈥攆ocusing on the challenges, research, and support needed for those affected by dementia. Let鈥檚 raise awareness, spark change, and drive action in the fight against Alzheimer鈥檚.
- Author: Zakia Irfan, asecond-year student at 不良研究所 majoring in Microbiology and Immunology. --> "During my first week, I met a young boy wearing a cochlear implant, a device I also use. Despite a language barrier, we connected, sharing stories about living with hearing loss. His mother, who had never met another person with a cochlear implant, expressed joy and relief seeing me pursue my interests and develop strong spoken language skills. This moment highlighted the power of representation and personal connection."

Findings indicate that agitation, aggression, and delirium are among the most common symptoms, significantly impacting patient care and hospital resource use. The study highlights the urgent need for tailored interventions to manage BPSD effectively, improve patient outcomes, and support healthcare providers in delivering compassionate and efficient care. --> Opportunities in Global Health
