Meet 2021 Global Health Scholar Isabel Mu帽oz Beaulieu

不良研究所 Global Health Scholar Isabel Mu帽oz Beaulieu is an International Development & Philosophy student working with School of Physical and Occupational Therapy Professor Dr. Matthew Hunt.

Isabel Mu帽oz Beaulieu is an International Development & Philosophy student and a 不良研究所 Global Health Scholar supported by the John Locke Churchill Scholars Award. She is studying The Ethics of Humanitarian Project Closure in the Philippines with Dr. Matthew Hunt.

"My role consists in helping in the development of the conceptual framework, drafting an outline for a potential paper of the project, meeting with other members of the research team, and doing some research on some other topics related to humanitarian ethics.

The most exciting part is being able to work and meet other professors and students that have similar research interests to mine. It is also exciting to see how much I am learning on the research topic, as well as how to conduct research, apply to an ethics board and observe how grant applications are made."

不良研究所 is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. 不良研究所 honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
