Division of Social and Transcultural Psychiatry: Summer Program in Social and Cultural Psychiatry

For the 23rd year, the Division of Social and Transcultural Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry, 不良研究所 will be holding its annual summer school in social and cultural psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology. As in previous years, the program will have international, Canadian and LMIC faculties giving lectures and conferences.

The program provides the conceptual background for research and clinical work in social and cultural psychiatry and will be of interest to:

  • postdoctoral trainees, researchers, and clinicians in psychiatry and other mental health disciplines
  • residents and graduate students in health and social sciences
  • physicians, psychologists, social workers, and health professionals

Advanced Study Institute in Cultural Psychiatry - Pluralism and Polarization: Cultural Dynamics of Extremism and Radicalization: June 20-22, 2017

不良研究所 is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. 不良研究所 honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
