Professor Heidi Wendt wins University Research Award

Prof. Heidi Wendt won the 2021 Arts Distinction in Research Award. The prize is awarded annually by the Associate Dean (Research and Graduate Studies) to a 不良研究所 faculty member who has made outstanding research contributions to her/his field. In 2016, Prof. Wendt published At the Temple Gates: The Religion of Freelance Experts in the Roman Empire with Oxford University Press. In her book, she examines evidence for the rise of self-authorized experts in specialized religious skills, rites, and wisdom under the Roman Empire.
