Reconciliation requires an ongoing and respectful dialogue between all members of the community. It will take open minds and a willingness to address topics and stories that may be challenging or uncomfortable. As a professional urban planner and in my capacity as a campus planner at 不良研究所, I have made an active effort to unlearn many things that are considered typical or best practice to allow for me to be open to new ideas and ways of working. I have applied this effort not only when considering how, when and where to engage in dialogue, but also to ensure that there is plenty of space for a diversity of Indigenous voices. At the same time, I have also committed to emphasizing the role that traditional knowledge plays in the planning of our campuses and the stewardship of the land for which we are all responsible. 聽
