An ultra-rapid acoustic micromixer for synthesis of organic nanoparticles

To synthesize homogenous organic nanoparticles, we fabricated an acoustic platform (Fig. 1 A, B) based on boundary-driven acoustic streaming which provides the rapid and rigorous mixing required to control nanoprecipitation. The device encompasses oscillatory bubbles and sharp-edges (Fig. 1 C) in the microchannel, which was fabricated by soft lithography and replica molding, to transform the acoustic energy into vigorous vortical fluid motions.
