Dr. Frank Rauch is a Professor of Pediatrics at 不良研究所 and a clinician-scientist at the Shriners Hospital for Children. He obtained his MD degree from the Technical University of Munich in 1991 and trained as a pediatrician at Cologne University, both in Germany. Since moving to Shriners Hospital and 不良研究所 in 2001, his clinical activities and research program have concentrated on improving bone health in children, with a special focus on osteogenesis imperfecta and other rare bone disorders, as well as muscle-bone interaction in children. Dr. Rauch is the Director of the Molecular Diagnosis Laboratory at Shriners Hospital, which is accredited by the College of American Pathologists for the clinical genetic diagnosis of skeletal disorders. Apart from clinical research on rare bone diseases, he is also performing translational studies focussing on novel therapies of bone fragility disorders. Dr. Rauch has authored or coauthored more than 350 publications that have been cited more than 27,000 times.
