Hannah Keim, MA student in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), is the recipient of the 2022 Emerging Scholar Award (MA level) for excellence in educational research at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù's Faculty of Education. Supervised by Dr. Angelica Galante, her research focuses on the role of translanguaging drama in French as a Second Language (FSL) teacher education.
Her study aims to provide professional development for FSL teachers in using translanguaging drama to empower plurilingual students when learning French. Hannah will examine teachers’ perceptions of the extent to which translanguaging drama can positively affect students' development of French while providing an inclusive and creative space for students' plurilingual practices to emerge in the FSL classroom.
The Emerging Scholar Award recognizes excellent graduate research through their writing, creative work, presentations, or other venues during their tenure within the DISE.
Congratulations, Hannah!
