Dr. Jura Augustinavicius joins the School of Population and Global Health as Assistant Professor (Research)

Dear SPGH Community,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Dr. Jura Augustinavicius has joined the School of Population and Global Health following her selection through the recently completed Assistant Professor (Research) Contract Academic Staff open recruitment. The position, which attracted an exceptionally talented group of candidates, was a great success thanks to the efforts of AEC-3 Academic Affairs, the Search Committee, and the many SPGH members who participated.

Dr. Augustinavicius obtained her Doctorate in Public Health in 2017 from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and since has developed a diverse and robust global mental health research portfolio that touches down in multiple countries on multiple continents and that focuses on mental health in the context of climate change and humanitarian crises. As a new member of the SPGH, Dr. Augustinavicius will continue to lead research in these areas, take on teaching responsibilities in graduate and undergraduate education programs and contribute to the implementation of the SPGH strategic and operational plan.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Augustinavicius on her appointment and in extending her a very warm welcome to 不良研究所 and the SPGH.

Yours sincerely,

Tim
