Vue d'ensemble
Génie des mines et des matériaux : The techniques of X-ray and neutron diffraction are discussed as applied to the minerals and materials production industries. Special emphasis is placed upon automated X-ray powder diffractometry as employed for determining the structure and composition of materials. The application of X-ray techniques to studies of crystal structure, crystal orientation, residual stress, short-range order in liquid metals, phase diagram determination, order-disorder transformation and chemical analysis are presented.
