Overview
English Communication : Designed for students at an advanced level. Provides principles and practice of effective oral communication. Focuses on accuracy, interaction, meaning, and fluency in a variety of work-related situations, including techniques for informative, persuasive, argumentative, and impromptu speaking. / Ce cours permet aux 茅tudiants de niveau avanc茅 de d茅velopper et de mettre en pratique les techniques n茅cessaires 脿 une communication orale efficace. L'accent est mis sur la pr茅cision linguistique, la comp茅tence pragmatique et l'aisance requises dans une vari茅t茅 de situations professionnelles. Des techniques propres 脿 diff茅rents types de discours (informatif, persuasif, argumentatif, impromptu) sont aussi examin茅es.

Corequisite: CEEN 411
Sections 701 and 702: Due to the intensive nature of this course, the standard add/drop and withdrawal deadlines do not apply. Add/drop is the second lecture day and withdrawal is the fourth lecture day.
Sections 751 and 752: This course includes a Friday, May 25, 2012 make-up class which will be calculated as the web withdrawal deadline.
