Program Requirements
The non-thesis master鈥檚 in Renewable Resources: Environmental Assessment option is normally taken over a one year cycle beginning in the Winter term and concluding in the Fall term. It is comprised of three interrelated elements: graduate-level courses, primarily given in the Winter term, a Summer term internship, and a project-related research paper, which is completed in the Fall term. The program is aimed at environmental assessment professionals and advanced environmental science scholars planning for careers in the public and private sector agencies, which guide environmental impact assessment, integrated assessment, and sustainable development in Canada and internationally. 不良研究所's non-thesis master鈥檚 in Environmental Assessment is offered in conjunction with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP - 2003), which designates the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as a UNEP Collaborating Centre on Environmental Assessment. An important component of the MOU is that the Faculty advance teaching and training through the development of course offerings that enable students to prepare for contributing to sustainable development by utilizing the excellent materials provided by UNEP and other national and international agencies.Research Project (9 credits)

Overview
Natural Resource Sciences : Written report describing the approach to and resolution of the environmental assessment issue addressed during the internship in Environmental Assessment.

NRSC 615 Environmental Assessment Internship (15 credits)
Overview
Natural Resource Sciences : Placement in a government, academic or private sector agency for 15 weeks of full time work on an EA project (35 hours per week).
