EDKP 630 Human Walking Mechanics (3 credits)
Overview
Kinesiology&Physical Education : Kinematics, kinetics, and neural control of walking and running under normal and perturbed conditions. Comparison of locomotion strategies for different populations (e.g., adolescents, elderly, amputees, etc.) will be emphasized. Various measurement techniques, data processing, and evaluations of total body and limb coordination will be addressed.

Kinesiology&Physical Education : Factors that influence the motor behaviour of individuals with a disability, including anthropometric characteristics, information processing, knowledge and self-regulation, motivation, and the social-cultural context.
