Overview

Chemical Engineering : Introduction to a process design and economic evaluation of projects, including environmental and safety aspects, for a major industrial operation. The following topics are also covered: plant site selection and social acceptability, plant ergonomics, ethics in engineering design, process safety, loss prevention and risk mitigation, green process design, writing and editing of technical text, oral presentations. Students work in small groups under an experienced plant design supervisor.
