History : The history of the Soviet Union from 1917-1991, examining its origins in the collapse of autocracy, early Soviet utopianism, the rise of Stalin, the Second World War, Khrushchev鈥檚 reforms, the Cold War and the decline and eventual collapse of the USSR, as well as its legacies in the post-Soviet period.
