Housing, Cultural Landscapes, and Urban Design

At 不良研究所, graduate education focusing on housing and human settlements started in the early 1960s. Since then听our Post-professional graduate program has produced world-class scholarship on housing, cultural landscapes, and urban design. The program has examined and celebrated human dwelling from the creation and change of domestic interiors to the roles of housing in neighbourhoods, communities, and territories.

Enjoying a stellar international reputation, the School of Architecture鈥檚 housing program has always promoted intellectual cross-fertilization. Students and faculty have come from a variety of backgrounds such as architecture, planning, and landscape architecture. Over the years, they have published widely on the study of domestic environments, the interpretation of cultural landscapes, the creation of innovative housing construction techniques, the formulation of urban design strategies, and the management of human settlements. Graduates have gone on to preeminent careers in teaching and practice, with many holding key professional positions in both private and public institutions.
