CDSI commits to fostering a community that values and practices equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and, as a result, is stronger for it. At the same time, we acknowledge that EDI at CDSI remains a constant work in progress and commit to working consistently both among ourselves and with our partners to see that EDI principles permeate all aspects of our operations. Moreover, driven by an awareness of the often-profound impact that computing and data can have on individuals and communities across the globe – both positive and negative -- we commit to cultivating an ethos of responsible research throughout the training, consulting, and research convergence that we support.
²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù has collected a website of resources relevant to equity at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, including (but not limited to) anti-racism resources, indigenous support, racial & cultural diversity, and gender and sexuality.
Finally, we acknowledge here that ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù is on land which long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose footsteps have marked this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
We welcome ideas and feedback on how we can continue to foster an inclusive community, as well as how we might contribute to the same efforts in other communities. We encourage individuals to email us their thoughts at cdsi.science [at] mcgill.ca.
