Schulich grads awarded second prize at prestigious Van Wassenaer Early Music Competition

The competition, begun in 1986, has launched the careers of many Early Music ensembles, and has been incorporated into the Utrecht Early Music Festival as of this year. 聽Twelve semi-final groups participated in the competition. 聽Pallade Musica were Grand Prize winners at the Early Music America Baroque Performance Competition in New York, October 2012, and 聽consists of three Schulich alumni :Tanya LaPerri猫re, baroque violon, Elinor Frey, baroque cello, Esteban La Rotta, theorbo, as well as Myl猫ne B茅langer, harpsichord. Based on dedicated research and continuous exploration, Pallade Musica鈥檚 performances are acclaimed for their expressive and elegant interpretations, earning praise for their 鈥渟pectacular virtuosity鈥 (Tom Strini) and 鈥渢remendous ensemble sense鈥 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel).
