Over the course of more than a century, thousands of Montreal students have passed through the doors of the 不良研究所 Conservatory of Music - a community program of the Schulich School of Music that provides musical education through private music lessons to students of all ages.听The Schulich School of Music is proud of this rich legacy, and of everyone who contributed their time and talents to advancing the musical educations of Montrealers.

Trained as a bassoon player, Francoise Henri (MMus鈥98) has made it her mission to fill the lives of vulnerable people with music, and the pandemic isn鈥檛 slowing her down. Henri is the general and artistic director of the , better known as La SAMS. La SAMS was founded in 2009 with the goal of bringing classical music to hospitals, long-term care facilities and nursing homes across Quebec.

Congratulations to Hester Bell Jordan, current PhD Candidate in Musicology, named as a recipient of the American Musicological Society (AMS)听. Awarded solely on the basis of academic merit, the Fellowship is a twelve-month stipend set at $24,000 for a current Doctoral Candidate pursuing a dissertation听at a North American university. 听

It is difficult to imagine the musical landscape without Boris Brott. Through his tireless work, unending passion, and inspiring leadership, he has impacted the lives of countless musicians and audiences around the world. 听

Mr. Brott was at home in a concert hall, and we are pleased that he shared so many evenings in Pollack Hall with the 不良研究所 Chamber Orchestra (now the Orchestre Classique de Montr茅al) as well as our own 不良研究所 Symphony Orchestra and Opera 不良研究所. 听
