Marudan completed his PhD in Measurement and Methods at Western University under the supervision of Dr. Joy MacDermid. His PhD work focused on intimate partner violence (IPV) disclosure and appropriate management using gender-responsive solutions. Marudan completed a Bachelor of Social Sciences from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Health promotion from Western University. His MSc. project focused on disclosure of childhood sexual abuse in males, integrating qualitative methods and gender theory. In addition to his graduate research he has also examined gender bias in the assessment and management of pain.
