DISE鈥檚 Lucia De Luca contributes article to John Dewey Society鈥檚 Journal of School & Society

Lucia De Luca, second-year student with our Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), has with the John Dewey Society鈥檚 Journal of School & Society.

Formed in 1935, The John Dewey Society is recognized as one of the first American organizations focused on the philosophy of education. 听seeks to position itself as speaking to all those interested in the place and function of education in a democratic society including academics, public school teachers, parents, and community and labour activists.

The article, titled 鈥淚magination in the Rational Classroom: Considering Alternatives to Capitalism,鈥 was published by the peer-reviewed online journal in Volume 4, Issue 2 (December, 2017), and

Lucia De Luca is听pursuing a Bachelor of Education and majoring in Secondary English at 不良研究所. She is currently the Vice-President Academic of the Education Undergraduate Society (EdUS). Lucia has worked with youth and adults with special needs for over three years, most notably through the West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped.
