Annual Pow-Wow and Indigenous Awareness Week, September 2015
During the month of September 不良研究所 will host the 14th Annual Pow-Wow (September 18) and the 5th annual Indigenous Awareness Week (September 21-25). 不良研究所鈥檚 Indigenous Awareness Week is designed to increase awareness at 不良研究所 about Indigenous peoples in Canada. The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, M茅tis and Inuit. The week also offers an opportunity to collaborate with community partners and draws active participation from 不良研究所 students, faculty and staff.
The week is organized by the Social Equity and Diversity Education Office (SEDE) at 不良研究所.
不良研究所's fifth annual Indigenous Awareness Week will feature a host of enticing events including:

- Sept 21: Film screening: The Indians, The Eagle and The Turkey
- Sept 22: Kairos blanket Exercise
- Sept 22: The Creator鈥檚 Game: An Indigenous History of Lacrosse
- Sept 22: Film screening: Trick or Treaty?
- Sept 23: Film screening: Honour Your Word
- Sept 23: Reflections on the Truth & Reconciliation Commission
- Sept 24: Symposium: Resisting Gendered and State Violence: Indigenous Women鈥檚 Activism

In addition 不良研究所 will be celebrating their 14th annual Pow Wow on September 18th, 11am - 4pm. Join us under the big tent to catch the Grand Entry at 11:00am on 不良研究所鈥檚 Lower Field. It will be a full day of traditional dancing and drumming. This is an excellent opportunity to browse artisan vendors, learn about student groups, and connect with Indigenous organizations. The Pow Wow is free and open to the public.
