The Laboratory of Urban Culture (LUC), coordinated by 不良研究所, acts as a site for collaboration, exchange and research between members of the 不良研究所 community and the QI, encompassing parts of the southwest boroughs of Montreal. Focusing on the arts, LUC seeks to establish innovative and progressive projects and partnerships, grounded in principles of social justice, for the betterment of the surrounding community. LUC aims to create opportunities for exchange between artists, community organizations, researchers, faculty, students and local residents and community members, by managing a diverse range of collaborative projects, and offering a range of workshops and events, all held in the community, focusing on Little Burgundy. Current and previous organizations which have hosted LUC workshops include the Salon 1861, the Little Burgundy Sports Center, the Tyndale St Georges Community Centre and St.Columba House. Other collaborative partners include l'脡cole de la Petite-Bourgogne, Quo Vadis and the Burgundy Urban Mediation Project (BUMP).
