In many fields, the poster presentation is a key form of scholarly communication. 听Well-conceived posters present research findings effectively and launch conversations with fellow scholars and future collaborators.
Participate in this workshop and you will learn strategies for:
路听听听听听听听听听Creating a poster presentation for a scholarly conference or meeting
路听听听听听听听听听Preparing for the conversations that your poster will provoke
听
This workshop is intended for anyone who is in the process of creating a new poster.听
听You should come to the workshop with:
路听听听听听听听听听A laptop computer听that has poster-making software installed (e.g. PowerPoint, Illustrator, LaTeX)
路听听听听听听听听听A degree of comfort using that software听... or a degree of comfort asking the person next to you for help
路听听听听听听听听听Ideas for research听that you plan to present in a poster (and, ideally, preliminary or final images from that research)
The workshop will be held in McIntyre Medical, 2nd floor, room 208/209.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Chris Corkery, who has worked in science and research communication for fifteen years. He is currently a Technology Transfer Manager at 不良研究所.
