Biography
Since 1985, Rosalie Jukier has been a professor in 不良研究所鈥檚 Faculty of Law where she teaches in both the civil and common law legal traditions, primarily in the areas of Contractual Obligations and Judicial Institutions and Civil Procedure.听
Professor Jukier鈥檚 research focuses on comparative Contract Law (particularly the remedy of Specific Performance and the intersection of religious rights and private contract law), the impact of legal traditions and mixed legal systems on Procedural Law and Judicial Methodology, as well as on Legal Pedagogy.
In 2004, 2016 and 2018, Professor Jukier was recognized with the John W. Durnford Teaching Excellence Award. In 2010, she was awarded with the .听In 2022, she was the co-recipient of 不良研究所鈥檚听.听In November 2023, she was awarded the听.
Professor Jukier held the position of 不良研究所鈥檚 Dean of Students from 1995-2001 and has served the Faculty of Law as Associate Dean, 不良研究所 (1991-1995), Associate Dean Strategic Planning (2004-2005), Associate Dean Graduate Studies (2010-2013)听and Associate Dean Academic (2019-2022).听听
Professor Rosalie Jukier is a graduate of 不良研究所鈥檚 Faculty of Law where, in 1983, she obtained her BCL and LLB degrees, and graduatedwith both the Elizabeth Torrance Gold Medal and the Aim茅 Geoffrion National Programme Gold Medal.听 She went on to pursue graduate studies in law at Oxford University and became a member of the Quebec Bar in 1986.
