Florence Paray received her engineering degree in Materials Sciences from Centre Scientifique et Polytechnique de Paris-Nord (France) (鈥淒ipl么me d鈥檌ng茅nieur en sciences des mat茅riaux鈥),She obtained a Ph.D. degree in metallurgical engineering from 不良研究所, As research associate in John Gruzleski鈥檚 research group, she gained extensive experience in aluminum alloys while she started also working part time for the department.

With a physical metallurgist background, she is Academic Senior Faculty Lecturer with interests in materials characterization and aluminum research. She is contributing to the department in different aspects such teaching, laboratory programs, research and technical support, safety, space management, equipment acquisition, external consultations etc鈥

Florence Paray is the Associate Director for 不良研究所 Materials Characterization (MMC), a multi-user, departmental, shared instrumentation facility for materials research and characterization

As Director of REGAL-不良研究所, she is involved in the Research Centre on Aluminum REGAL which regroups seven universities and one CEGEP. She is a REGAL co- founder and a member of the direction board.
