Erik has been a full-time sport dietitian and applied scientist in high performance sports for 8 years. He is currently working as nutrition lead at l'Institut National du Sport du Qu茅bec and is a PhD candidate from the School of Human Nutrition at 不良研究所. At the institute he supports international elite athletes and coaches with the development and application of evidence-based nutrition strategies for training and competition. He also conducts, collaborates in and evaluates research and innovation projects to further the discipline.

Annyck Besso is a Registered Dietitian and the founder of S枚枚ma, a private multidisciplinary practice in Montreal and the United States. Annyck is a 不良研究所 Affiliate member with the school of human nutrition, providing internship opportunities for dietetics students through S枚枚ma and guest lecturing on the topic of eating disorders for two lectures per year.听

Cases in Pediatric Obesity
Dr. Krishnamoorthy completed her residency at the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital in 2000, before completing a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology. She has been on staff in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the MCH since 2003. She is heavily involved in medical education and serves as the Director of Pediatric Undergraduate Education at 不良研究所. She won the Paige and Bernard Kaplan Award for excellence in teaching in 2004 and was named to the Faculty Honour List for Educational Excellence. She is also one of the recipients of the 2016 CAME Certificate of Merit Awards.听

Bariatric Surgery for Obesity
Dr. Amin Andalib completed his General Surgery Residency at 不良研究所 during which, he also completed a Master鈥檚 degree in Epidemiology. He then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Main Campus Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Andalib has since joined the Division of General Surgery at 不良研究所 Health Centre in July 2015 and is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery at 不良研究所. Given his sub-speciality training, bariatric surgery remains the main focus of his clinical practice. In addition, he is the Program Director for Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery at 不良研究所.听
His research interests center on clinical outcomes, quality improvement, and patient safety projects in bariatric surgery. They include outcomes assessment and risk reduction after bariatric surgery especially using large databases.
Dr. Andalib is also an active member of the important national and international academic surgical societies including a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and a member of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, where he currently serves as a member of the Bariatric Surgery Committee.
