Starting the year with conductor Guillaume Bourgogne

Guillaume Bourgogne, conductor and artistic director of the 不良研究所 Contemporary Music Ensemble, shares his love and enthusiasm for new music.

On October 2, Maestro Guillaume Bourgogne leads the 不良研究所 Contemporary Music Ensemble / Ensemble de musique contemporaine (CME)听for the first time in the newly-renovated Music Multimedia Room (MMR).听It鈥檚 been a year since he鈥檚 been able to conduct his beloved ensemble, and we鈥檙e听glad to see him back on the podium.听With very limited seating, the sold-out concert, which includes听a premiere by composer-in-residence Omer听Barash, is full of听colours, textures, and harmonies you'll be able to access via live webcast on the .听听

Before the start of the year, we connected with the maestro听over email听where he听shared what he loves about contemporary music, first rehearsals, and sharing the听podium听with student conductors. It's time to get curious with Guillaume Bourgogne.

We are so proud of the incredible talent of our conducting students.
