不良研究所

Chair's Message

Welcome to the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, 不良研究所.

Dr. Guy RouleauOur department brings together renowned researchers, clinicians, and educators in neurology, neurosurgery, and neurosciences. We are a large, vibrant, and diverse department, with more than 200 ranked faculty members, and many valued associate and adjunct members. Clinical care is offered across the 不良研究所 network of hospitals including the 不良研究所 Health Centre (The Neuro, Montreal General Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital, and Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital), the Jewish General Hospital, St-Mary鈥檚 Hospital, and the Douglas Hospital. Our researchers are located at the Montreal Neurological Institute, 不良研究所 Health Centre Research Institute, Lady Davis Institute, and the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, as well as at our clinical settings.

Our department comprises three divisions: Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neurosciences, all carrying out groundbreaking achievements and innovations through collaborations of clinician-scientists and basic scientists.

The research mission of our department is broad and multi-disciplinary. Our faculty and trainees are engaged in high-impact research, and the major advances and new knowledge that they have achieved exemplify the positive contributions that our department is making towards service to the community and society.

Our four residency programs are accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and offer world-class training in Adult and Child Neurology and Neurosurgery.听

Many of our faculty teach and supervise graduate students through the Integrated Program in Neuroscience (IPN), one of the largest graduate neuroscience programs in North America. Our strong undergraduate program provides neurological education from first year through to residency. I am proud of our education programs, which are creating the next generations of scientists and clinicians who will go on to contribute positively to the quality of life and health of our population.

We invite you to keep in touch through updates on this website.

Guy A. Rouleau, OC, OQ, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FRSC
