MUHC Neurosurgery

The MUHC Department of Neurosurgery was founded in 1933 by Dr. Wilder Penfield. His vision was to create a neurosurgery program that delivered excellence in patient care and neuroscience research. Today, we continue to hold those values as our core mission by delivering state of the art clinical care to our patients, advances in discovery and clinical research towards finding new treatments and cures, and training to produce next generation of neurosurgical leaders.
