Graduate program info session: Animal Science MSc Applied in Sustainable Agriculture
不良研究所, including its Macdonald Campus, is known throughout Canada and around the world for conducting pioneering and innovative research. At Macdonald, more than one-quarter of our students are graduate students, making the campus a hub for discussion and debate regarding issues of the environment of natural and human-influenced ecosystems, biosciences and bioproducts for the benefit of society, food, food safety, nutrition and health. Climate change and rising human population have increased the need for sustainable agricultural practices. 不良研究所's Department of Animal Science offers an MSc Applied (Non-Thesis) degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture that is oriented to:
- Animal scientists already working in industry or government
- Undergraduate students inspired by concepts in sustainable and integrated animal agriculture
- Project leaders interested in animal resource management
- Veterinarians
Students will be exposed to different approaches to improve the sustainability of agricultural systems through specialized coursework and a research project. The program, 12 to 16 months in duration, aims to provide graduate training in applied areas of animal production with a view toward integrating technology and management in sustainable animal production with allied areas of agricultural resource utilization.
