Jessica Corbeil is a passionate psychologist () dedicated to helping others navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding. She holds a Doctoral degree in Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from the University of Montreal.
At the heart of her practice is the belief in the power of each individual and the profound impact of connection. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where learners can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. As every individual is unique, Jessica tailors her approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each person by blending various therapeutic modalities. She draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Therapies, as well as Humanistic Therapy to empower each person that she meets to discover their personal strengths and foster resilience.
Prior to joining the Office of Medical Learner Affairs team, Jessica worked with multiple medical doctors and residents across specialties at the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital and professionals in high-pressure careers in her private practice to process, integrate, and grow from the unique stressors and dynamics that are part of such career paths. Jessica has experience supporting students and residents facing a multitude of challenges including anxiety, depression, perfectionism, academic difficulties, life transition challenges, identity issues, relationship difficulties and trauma.
Jessica is grateful for the opportunity to facilitate group workshops and work alongside residents as well as fellows in Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) on their journey of mental well-being.
