The RGO provides听strategic direction and administrative support in securing research funding, which enables the faculty and university to achieve the highest standards in research.
The Research and Grants Office works with the Dean and the Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Science to:
- promote strategic funding programs and priorities
- navigating large funding campaigns (e.g., CFI-Innovation Fund, , )
- support听the submission of individual grants, awards, and prize applications for research (e.g., , ,听)
- drafting letters of support from the Faculty of Science
- editing and revision services
- providing guidance for tricky sections (e.g.,听Institutional Commitments, Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI))
- ensure compliance with University research policy听by reviewing and providing Faculty approval for:
- the Research Funding听Checklist听(翱厂搁)
- Faculty Table of Commitments
- PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the PI to fully complete the RFC and obtain the signature of their Chair before submission for Faculty review.
- promote research to undergraduate students听
- organizing and facilitating听Soup and Science and other events
