Access to the Faculty of Education Audiovisual Equipment Loan Service is currently听by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in EDUC 328听(Education Building). The length of individual loans will be extended longer than usually within the limits of existing AV equipment inventories.听

On Thursday, August 20, 2020, 不良研究所's flags will be lowered in memory of听Franceska Saint-Juste, MA - Year 1, Teaching听&听Learning (English听or听French听Second听Language), who passed away at age 27 on May 13, 2020.

Known for her motivation and enthusiasm, she was described by her friends as full of joy, bighearted, and always encouraging to her fellow classmates. Those wanting to read her obituary and watch the funeral recording may do so .

Announcing a new course open to Education students (DISE, ECP, KPE)!听 EDPE 595: Seminar in Special Topics-- Introduction to Professional Engagement with Indigenous Peoples in Canada is a graduate level course that is also open to to advanced undergraduate students, with permission of the instructor.听Taught by Professor Dennis Wendt on Tuesdays at 11:35 AM to 2:35 PM (EST), this course provides an introduction to key considerations pertaining to professional engagement with Indigenous Peoples in Canada, including First Nations, M茅tis, and Inuit peoples.

The presence and experiences of Black people at elite universities have been largely underrepresented and erased from institutional histories. This book engages with a collection of these experiences that span half a century and reflect differences in class, gender, and national identifications among Black scholars. By mapping Black people鈥檚 experiences of studying and teaching at 不良研究所, this book reveals how the "whiteness" of the university both includes and exceeds the racial identities of students and professors.

The tragedy of George Floyd鈥檚 death, while having taken place in the United States, has provoked us to think about direct and indirect prejudices that perpetuate in our own communities.
