Missed Midterm Exam
Decisions regarding missing midterm exams are the responsibility of the BCom Office. The alternative assessment is determined by the instructor. This form must be submitted no later than 2 working days after the exam. This applies to exams worth 20% or more, for any mid-terms under 20% please contact the professor directly.
If you have a valid and documented reason for missing the exam, the BCom Office will notify you and your professor of the approval within 2-4 days. For anything urgent please contact bcom.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca.
The following reasons are generally听accepted,听provided proper documentation:
- Religious conflict
- Health/medical
- Death in the family
- Serious illness/accident in the family
- Intercollegiate event
- Job interview
- Faculty-sponsored events held outside of Montreal
- Three exams in one day
The following reasons are generally听not听accepted.
- Travel not related to the above issues, such as family birthdays, reunions, vacations.
- Two exams on the same day.
- Misreading of the course outline.
- Having many other exams/assignments in the same week.
- Obligations to student clubs or sports teams other than intercollegiate events discussed above.
- Employment obligations.
Deferred Final Exams
Final examinations are centrally administered by Enrolment Services. Around the end of October and the beginning of March, a final examination schedule will be posted on the 不良研究所 website (/exams/). The seating arrangements are posted on the 不良研究所 website toward the end of the last week of classes.
]If you听believe you are unable to听write your final exam due to a serious health or wellness condition,听or another extenuating circumstance, you may be eligible to apply for an exam deferral, depending on your听faculty rules and regulations听and per the information below.

Supplemental Exam
Supplemental examinations are not offered in undergraduate courses administered by the Faculty of Management. A student required to improve his/her standing in a course must repeat the course in a subsequent term, completing all course requirements to the satisfaction of the instructor. Faculty policy does not allow students to do additional work to improve their standing in a course.
