Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives听() is a program, built on 不良研究所's global leadership in听interdisciplinary听neuroscience, that听uses big data analysis to reveal the fundamental mechanisms underlying normal brain function and brain disorders. HBHL aims to accelerate translational discoveries and create a global听centre听of excellence in听neuroinformatics听and computational neuroscience at 不良研究所, and to improve brain health in Canada and around the world.听听听听
HBHL's central vision is to reduce the human and socio-economic burden of psychiatric and neurological illnesses and improve the mental health, quality of life and productivity of Canadians and people around the world for generations to come.听听
HBHL鈥檚听strategic research priorities are听anchored听around听four research themes:听听听
- Theme 1: Neuroinformatics and Computational Modelling;
- Theme 2: Mechanistic Models of Neurodegenerative Disorders;
- Theme 3: Applied Cognitive Neuroscience of Brain Plasticity;
- Theme 4: Population Neuroscience and Brain Health.听
